Casandra Jacobs is a South African-born, fine artist and photographer.
She holds a BAFA from the University of Cape Town: Michaelis School of Fine Arts, with a focus on photography as her major.
Casandra currently holds a position as Gallery Manager at White River Gallery in Mpumalanga.
Along with her position at the gallery, Casandra spreads her focus on many of her creative side businesses. Freelancing as an experienced exhibition and real estate photographer, social media manager to local artists, and one of the founders of Lowveld Figure Drawing established in 2022.
Never without a project in mind or a camera in her hands, Casandra passionately pursues any photographic opportunities to apply her unique style and insight to create stunning bodies of work.
"While working at White River Gallery and meeting with like minded artists, I identified a need in the local arts community for a much desired platform for figure drawing. Thus, with a local friend and artist, Xenia Roos, we founded Lowveld Figure Drawing.
As of 2022, we are still in the early stages of building and promoting our platform, but the response has been fantastic from our current participants."
